Answer
Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT)is goal-directed and future-focused and focuses on solutions instead of the problems that brought clients to seek therapy. Its key concepts which are illustrated by techniques, include basic assumptions, exception questions, the miracle question, presupposing change, scaling questions. I can apply these key concepts in my own life to solve the difficulties in my relationships, my issues with anger management and my eating disorders. This concepts will be helpful in developing solutions to generate a detailed explanation of how my life will be different when these problems that I have are gone or my situation has improved to a degree that i find satisfactory. For example, I will apply the concept of ' the miracle question to focus on the strengths that I already have inside of me and move into a solution orientation which will allow me to start small steps toward finding solutions. To rate my experience with eating disorders, anger management, and the problems in my relationships, I will apply the concept of "Scaling questions" to evaluate my motivation to change this experience. To open myself up to my resiliency, I will apply the concept of "coping questions" to grow from a place of strength after I have discovered what works for me. Furthermore, I will apply the concept of "presupposing change" to focus on the positives in my life by considering the possibility of positive change that has recently occurred in my life. Lastly, I will apply the "exception questions" concept to gain awareness to the instances when my problems are very active and how it influences others.

The concept that I would want to apply to my work as group leader is "presupposing change'. As change occurs every time in my work, this concept will be useful in identifying and amplifying positive transformation. I will apply this concept as a group leader to help my team to be more attentive to the positive things that occur in the workplace, no matter how insignificant or small they appear. As a result, any tiny step of progress or positive change will be noted, so group members can both celebrate their success and failure to facilitate future wins.
